The Authority’s Commitment to Environmental and Governance Stewardship

In line with the national environmental sustainability agenda, the Authority has undertaken a significant initiative to rehabilitate forests across the country. This effort directly supports His Excellency the President of Kenya’s directive, issued on December 30, 2022, to grow 15 billion trees by 2032 to restore 10.6 million hectares of land.

During the 2024/2025 Financial Year, the Authority successfully planted 12,100 trees at Kaptagat Forest in Elgeyo Marakwet, Sorget Forest in Kericho County, and Ngong Forest in Nairobi County. This was a collaborative effort with the Kenya Forestry Service, Insurance Regulatory Authority, and Capital Markets Authority.

Impact and Commitment to a Sustainable Future

This significant undertaking is a testament to our unwavering commitment to sustainability and our proactive approach to addressing the urgent global challenges posed by climate change. We are proud of the success of this initiative and express our gratitude to everyone who contributed to its realization, including our dedicated employees, partner organizations, and local communities.

It is through collaborative efforts like these that we can create a positive impact on the environment and build a more sustainable future. We look forward to launching future initiatives that contribute to the well-being of our planet, continuing to plant the seeds for a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.
